St. Francis Academy

December 7, 2011 – Our 8th Grade students Class of 2012 received their school rings during the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The celebrant of our liturgy was Father James P. Croghan, SJ. Our students comported themselves beautifully in their reading, singing, and prayerful worship. Special thanks to Mrs. Giallombrado, Sr. Mary Antonita, and Mr. Cordova. A festive reception at the auditorium was enjoyed thanks to our generous class mothers and volunteer servers.

On December 6, 2011, St. Francis Academy celebrated the Feast of St. Nicholas by blessing the Candy Canes in the school chapel. The entire student body attended a short prayer service where we also lit the second purple candle of our Advent Wreath. Bryant of Grade 8 dressed up St. Nicholas, and blessed our candy canes.

The lighting of the first candle

The beginning of the Advent season was celebrated at St. Francis Academy Chapel on December 2, 2011 during our First Friday mass. The holy celebration was hosted by the Grade 6 class.
