Holy Communion and May Crowning 2011

The month of May is a blessed month in St. Francis Academy because of these two religious activities: The First Holy Communion of the 2nd Graders and The May Crowning (Crowning of the Virgin Mary).

On May 21, 2011 – 2nd Graders received the Body of Christ for the first time at Sts. Joseph and Michael Church.
On May 26, 2011 – 2nd Graders led the entire school in the Crowning of the Virgin Mary.

Religious Activities

April and May – St. Francis Academy had several religious activities for the past few weeks: the eight graders re-enacted the Stations of the Cross just before our Easter break. Last week, the 2nd graders received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for their first Holy Communion. And on Tuesday, we honored our mothers in the celebration of the Holy Mass.

We invite you to witness our 2nd graders as they receive their First Holy Communion on May 21, 2011.

On May 27, 2010, Ms. Hogan’s 2nd grade students received their First Holy Communion at the school chapel. In the afternoon, the entire school body honored the Blessed Virgin Mary during our annual May Crowning.
