St. Francis Academy

Thanksgiving 2009 – St. Francis Academy’s Annual Food Drive for Sts. Joseph & Michael’s Food Pantry was again a great success. Thank you parents and children for your generosity. God bless you and your family on Thanksgiving.

Students from Grades 5 – 8 voluntarily fasted each Thursday of the Lenten season in solidarity with the poor throughout our world. These students discussed matters affecting the poor and marginalized. A successful food drive was organized raising over 1,400 cans and boxes of food. Congratulations to the Kindergarten class, they collected over 240 items.

Our annual food drive was a rousing success! We have collected approximately 1800 cans from the students! Good job!
