<p><strong>December 7, 2011</strong> – Our 8th Grade students <strong>Class of 2012</strong> received their school rings during the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the eve of the <em>Feast of the Immaculate Conception</em>. The celebrant of our liturgy was Father James P. Croghan, SJ. Our students comported themselves beautifully in their reading, singing, and prayerful worship. Special thanks to Mrs. Giallombrado, Sr. Mary Antonita, and Mr. Cordova. A festive reception at the auditorium was enjoyed thanks to our generous class mothers and volunteer servers.</p>

<strong>Nov. 1, 2011</strong> &#8211; St. Francis Academy president Sr. Dora led the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the school&#8217;s new playground. The event was preceded by All Saints Day Mass at the school chapel officiated by Msgr. Kevin Hanbury and Fr. Vincent Fortunato, with guests of honor Ms. Barbara Dolan and city Commissioner Maryuri Martinetti.</p>
<p>The soft opening of the playground happened a week before the event, allowing students to enjoy the facility a couple of days before the first snow storm of the season.
