Hotdog and Ice Cream Social

The school year will be officially over and what a better way to say goodbye to our friends and hello to summer! Come and join us for the last event of this school year! This event will be held on Friday, June 18th, 2010 beginning 6:00 PM and ending at 9:00PM in the backyard of St. Francis Academy. NO RAIN DATE!

Admission is $8.00 per person! This admission includes 1 hotdog, 1 bottle of water and a choice of a Cone, Popsicle or Slushy.

Hotdogs will be served throughout the evening. The ice cream will ONLY be served between 7:00PM – 8:00PM. Don’t miss this treat!

We will also be having our last official 50/50 raffle. Winner will be announced at 8:30PM and winner must be present!

Tickets will NOT be sold in advance. Tickets will ONLY be available at the door. Entrance to the event will be at the side entrance on 16th street.

So stop on by to share some laughter and music with us all!

Flag Day at SFA

Today, SFA celebrated the National Flag Day at the auditorium. Supervised by Ms. Coffey, the 1st Graders led the students, teachers, and some parents in the Flag Day Ceremony. They recited the Pledge of Allegiance and facts about the nation’s flag. The students also sang patriotic songs like Yankee Doodle Dandy, America The Beautiful, and the Star-Spangled Banner.

First Holy Communion and May Crowning 2010

On May 27, 2010, Ms. Hogan’s 2nd grade students received their First Holy Communion at the school chapel. In the afternoon, the entire school body honored the Blessed Virgin Mary during our annual May Crowning.

Congratulations to our talented students and hardworking faculty and staff for a magnificent performance during our annual Spring Concert last night (May 24, 2010). The show was fantastic. Special thanks to the following: our music teacher – Mr. Cordova – for all his dedication and patience; parents, faculty/staff and SFA Sisters for all the support; and St. Augustine Catholic School for allowing us to use their facilities.
