Catholic Schools Week 2010
St. Francis Academy will be observing the annual Catholic Schools Week (CSW) from January 30 to February. 5, 2010. This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools – Dividends for Life” which reminds that there is no better investment than the education of a child. (Full CSW 2010 Press Release)
We will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on February 3rd, 2010 from 9AM – 11AM.

Monday, February 1st: Crazy Tie or Sock Day – 2 cans of food
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM – Little Brother Little Sister Hour – Grades Pre-K – K (Classroom)
9:00 AM – Poetry and Piano Recital – Grades 4 – 8 (Auditorium)
12:30 PM – Spelling Bee – Grades 2-8 (Auditorium)

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Grandparents Luncheon – Grades PK – 2 (Cafeteria & Auditorium)
1:00 PM- Math Bee – Grades 5-8 (Auditorium)Wednesday, February 3rd:

9:30 AM – Children’s Chinese Auction (Auditorium) and Mission Bingo (all grades) in the classrooms.
Friday, February 5th: 12:00 PM Dismissal – NO AFTERCARE
9:30 AM – Closing Mass – Bishop Donato
10:30 AM – Awards Ceremony – all (auditorium)
NO GYM – Regular School Uniform
Poster Contest -Grades PK to 3rd – What do you want to be when you grow up? How can SFA help you?Essay Contest – Grades 4 & 5 – Choose a character from one of your bookworms books who displays good values (morals, discipline, knowledge, faith)
Essay Contest – Grades 6 – 8 – Describe how SFA has helped you grow into your morality and faith.
