Irish for a Day

Yesterday (March 17, 2009), St. Francis Academy honored St. Patrick’s Day by wearing something green. Students were allowed to wear green ties, hats, and socks, and a first grader dressed up as a leprechaun.

Second graders drew and painted arts related to St. Patrick’s Day using the computer (KidPix software), and after lunch, upper grades watched as the Jeopardy winning teams from Grade 7 played an exhibition match moderated by school principal Ms. Savage. Audience were given the chance to answer when either team incorrectly answered questions from one of the seven categories.
